What you can expect from us

Standard website design packages
Our standard package includes email/telephone consultation up to the first 2 hours at no charge. Any quoted price will be based on the following criteria:

• Words of text to be supplied to us by the client, ready and corrected in electronic form on disk, by email attachment or other appropriate media as agreed. Additional word-processing or text setting will be charged at an additional hourly rate.
• Images, whether photographic, hand-drawn or clip art, to be supplied to us by the client in suitable electronic form and format in a "ready to use" condition, on disk or other suitable media. Images that are unfit for use, or that require additional work by way of enhancement, processing or optimisation will be charged for at an additional hourly rate.
• The website will be based upon a website specification which will be drawn up and agreed in advance of commencement of any work. Any additions or deviations from the specification will not be inclusive and will be charged for as an additional service.
• A final quotation of cost will be made and agreed between both parties prior to commencement of work.
• In the case of particularly large or involved websites, a deposit may be required up front by way of good faith.
• A "reasonable" number of external hyperlinks will be included at the request of the client.
• Front end "splashes" or animations (either animated GIFs, Flash or Swish vector-based animations, etc) can be supplied at an additional cost.
• Quotation will include uploading the finished website to the client's domain and/or web hosting server.
• Submission of the completed website to the major Search Engines, up to a total of 10, is to be included in the quotation. These may include AltaVista, Google, Webcrawler, Lycos, NorthernLight, Open Directory, etc. Paid for submissions can be made at an extra charge - these now include Yahoo, Looksmart, Overture, etc.
• Provision of feedback, enquiry or other online contact forms can be included, provided the client's host can supply CGI scripting facilities.
• Full preview access will be given to the client during all stages of the website development, so that he/she will have ample opportunities to pass opinions and indicate preferences during the process.
• Commercial free Guestbooks can be included at no extra charge.
• A run-on price will be quoted for any additional pages which the client may require over and above the initial specification.
• Maintenance Contracts can be quoted for on an annual basis.
• A completion date will be agreed and supplied with the Quotation of Cost.

Commercial Web Hosting
We can offer web hosting to all of our clients on our own server, but we can also arrange for or suggest alternative independent web hosting companies of proven quality and with a known track record, if preferred. See Web Hosting.
Clients requiring online catalogue, shopping carts and online credit card payment facilities MUST be hosted on our own server.

Payment of Fees
Fees and payments for all work done are due on completion and no later than 30 days after uploading to the final domain and the issuing of invoice. If the client has not purchased web hosting facilities and there is no known destination to which the completed website may be published, the website may be supplied to the client on a Compact Disk or other suitable storage media.

Ownership & Assignment
All work done and developed by the Papillon-ServerBank Group remains the property of the Group until the agreed fee has been paid and received in full, at which time all rights in ownership will be assigned to the client.

Maintenance Contracts
We are able to offer annual maintenance contracts on all of our web design work and will be happy to quote for your website's maintenance and care. Usually fees for maintenance are paid quarterly in advance. Alternatively, we are happy to train yourself or your employee(s) to maintain the website independently.

Troubleshooting - Minor Changes & Updates After Completion
All and any minor errors and alterations after Completion and Assignment of the website will be done free of charge for a period of one month from the Assignment and Invoice date. After that date, it will be assumed that the client is fully satisfied with the work done and supplied, and has had ample time to inform us of any errors. After one month, any work done by way of updates and alterations will be charged for at an additional rate.

Copyrights & Trademarks
The Papillon-ServerBank Group cannot be held responsible for any contravention or infringement of copyright or trademarks made by the client. It is assumed that the client owns the rights to all texts and images which he/she supplies to us, or that he/she has permission to use these images or texts, and that the Papillon-ServerBank Group have no legal responsibility and cannot be held liable for any infringements in this connection.
On completion of website design, all and any copyrights, in texts, drawings and photographic images, sounds, videos and animations, developed by the Papillon-ServerBank Group and used in the design, will pass to and be assigned to the client, unless exceptions have been agreed beforehand and have been indicated as such in the specification of the work to be done.
The Papillon-ServerBank Group retains the right to display its work, whether graphics or other web design elements as examples of their work for use in promotion and marketing of their services.

Quality Assurance
The Papillon-ServerBank Group believes the quality of its work is of the highest possible standard, and will make every effort to ensure that finished websites are compatible with major web browsers, including Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. We are unable to make any guarantees, however, as to the quality or level of service offered by third party web hosting companies.

Laws Affecting Electronic Commerce (eCommerce)
The Papillon-ServerBank Group cannot be held responsible for the performance or quality of service provided by other commercial web server companies, whose service and equipment is outside of our control, and we cannot therefore make any guarantee as to the quality of third party agencies.
In no event will the Papillon-ServerBank Group be liable for any third party damages, whether incidental or consequential, including loss of any profits or savings.
Details, illustrations and prices included in online catalogues are the responsibility of the client, and the Papillon-ServerBank Group may not be held liable for any errors, misleading or untrue descriptions or omissions quoted in catalogues - these details are deemed to be the responsibility of the client.

The Papillon-ServerBank Group 2002
