Comment: Hi Andrea, its very kind of you to offer to donate prizes and sponsor classes next year. You can contact anyone on the committee (look on the committee link above and either email or telephone or call at the caravan on show days)and they will give you further details. I know to sponsor a ring it is £60 and you get your business name and number in the rosettes for all the classes in a ring for one show date, your business will be listed in schedule and also in the sponsors section of our website. ..

Comment: An appeal to all parents. Would you please make sure that if you send a junior to the caravan to make an entry, they are sure of the name of the pony to be entered. Please do not enter pet names or stable names (unless you consistently do this every time) as it leads to confusion in the Points List. We have even had the incorrect pony entered. Some entry forms are almost ilegible. Please print clearly so that we may get your name and horse's name correct...

Comment: Although Rule 20 states that all leaders must be fully paid up members, this rule was abolished for this season. We apologise that it remained, by printer's error, on the Rules of the Club page. Therefore only the rider needs to be a member to gain points for the lead rein classes. A competitor needs to enter a minimum of three shows to qualify for points towards end of season trophies...

Comment: Hi If anyone has any suggestions with regards to introducing new classes please write it on here or approach, telephone or email a committee member as we are in the process revamping the schedule for next year. Just to answer the question about side saddle classes, we do need to be convinced that these classes will be supported, we held qualifiers last year and we did not get very many entries, do you not know any of your friends who would support these classes also? You are welcome to enter other ridden showing classes (where appropriate) side saddle. ..

Comment: DRESSAGE: For all competitors who qualified for UK Riders Challenge 2008. You should have received information from me regarding the next steps to take for going through to the Regional Finals of this competition. This morning, I received another communication - via email - from Head Office to ask that you all telephone this number immediately. I quote from their letter, "I suggest that your members RING 01865 351688 and join over the phone, and ensure the person taking details ADDS their qualification, ie name, date, centre (Ribble obviously!) level of class and name of horse. That way I can process members and get their stuff sent out ASAP?" We are now running out of time due to the lost package containing all relevant information which ought to have been received by the end of May/early June. Please telephone the given number with all your queries and speak to Jane. ..

Comment: The results for Class 56c the Lead Rein Gynkhana for June are incorrect. There was 3 competitors and the placing's were - 1st Molly Dean, 2nd Emily Pilkington and 3rd Alice Pilkington. Thought they could be wrong as Molly and Emily hadn't been put on the sheet for the judge. Just letting you know as obviously it effects the points at the end of year. The novelties for the last 3 months are incorrect also but i wouldn't know where to start to put those right...

Comment: Would all competitors please note that should a rider fall off a horse/pony in the Working Hunter or any other Ring, the judge is under an obligation to ask that competitor to retire from the ring. This is a Health & Safety ruling and NOT a whim from the judge or a Rule of the Club. Litigation is such in this day and age, that any later discovery of an injury which may have resulted from that fall would then be the responisibility of the judge in question who could be taken to Court over the matter with the risk of extremely heavy financial charges. ..

Comment: Just want to inform everybody that our horse wagon was stolen last night from a yard in Preston. Everybody please be aware and take precautions. They tried to take another on the yard but we think they gave up after an unsuccessful attempt to decode the immobiliser. They left behind a piece of equipment that the police suspect does this. The huge chain on the gate was cut which we thought would act as a deterrent. What with all the reports of horses and tack being stolen recently it seems horse owners are being targeted by organised criminals as a way of providing a living for themselves. Please any information tel 07766808051. It is a Leyland Daf 7.5t baby blue with silver graphics on. It has Showtime horses boxes on the back and mine and my daughters name on each door...
